#146 | DINNER AT THE BLUE BAYOU

ANAHEIM, USA

Louisiana Lemonade
Slow-Roasted Beef Strip Loin
Broiled Filet Mignon

The cool thing about the Blue Bayou at New Orleans Square is that they serve Cajun and Creole style food inside the Pirates of Caribbean attraction. How unique is that? We came here for dinner after a day of absolute fun at Disneyland. For drinks we had the Louisiana Lemonade, which was a mixture of Minute Maid Light Lemonade and Sprite with flavours of mango and raspberry and served with a fun souvenir glow cube. Before mains, we were given a cup of New Orleans gumbo which was a really nice and hearty way to start our meal. We had the Slow-Roasted Beef Strip Loin with crispy shoestring onions, gratin potatoes, seasonal vegetables and armagnac green peppercorn sauce. We also had the Broiled Filet Mignon with gratin potatoes, seasonal vegetables and BĂ©arnaise sauce. After a big day out, it was nice to have a meal like this. This restaurant is on the pricier end among the dining options available at the park, but you do get a semi cleaner meal after a whole day of snacking, and it's just an overall nice experience.
