#153 | XIN CHÀO SAIGON!

SAIGON, VIETNAM

We stayed in Saigon for a good number of days on this trip as we were visiting family. Most of our time was spent hanging out at coffee shops, taking leisurely walks around the city and local markets, and just eat non-stop. Two memorable things that we also did was the Mekong Delta day trip, which was great fun, as well as our visit to the War Remnants Museum, which although is very saddening and disturbing, I personally think all visitors should make this a must-do while they are in Saigon. For the duration of our visit, we stayed at my aunt's place - which was a real local experience haha. We'd wake up to the sound of beeping motorcycles everyday and start the morning sitting on a tiny chair outside the house with a delicious cup of Vietnamese coffee. There were plenty of street vendors around, which were usually residents of the street, who would set up a tiny cart of a shop and sell their speciality dish. I'd try something different everyday and it was nice to meet some of the neighbours. Saigon is an amazing, vibrant, chaotic city that you just can't help but love.
