OSAKA, JAPAN
On our Japan trip with family, we actually started and ended in Osaka. The reason why we did it this way was so that we could catch the sumo tournament that was in Osaka at the time. So we flew into Osaka and our flight landed in the evening, had a full day in Osaka the next day to watch the Sumo and do some nearby exploration, and then took the bullet train to Tokyo the day after and from there, slowly made our way back towards Osaka. Osaka has a bubbling nightlife, fantastic street food and just this really nice old school feel about the place that's so enjoyable. I love the shopping alleys that are full of interesting shops, things to see and food to eat. Osaka became one of my favourite cities in Japan from this trip and we can't wait to go back!
