SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA
Gamberetti
Positano Prawns
Pepperoni Pizza
Hotel Du Cap (The Cuban Wing) Cocktail
It was a Friday, and the boy and I had planned on hitting the gym after work. It was the first week of us signing up, so we were trying really hard to be good. But we got caught up with work, and by the time we finished, we had already given up on exercising and decided to spend the night with pizza and pasta instead.
Mad Pizza E Bar is a lively pizzeria and cocktail bar with a number of establishments around Sydney. Our table was covered with a piece of brown parchment paper and on the table was a bowl of crayons. It was such a quirky thing to have available at the dinner table, and a fun way to keep ourselves occupied while we waited for the food to arrive.
All the dishes we had were quite nice and I would recommend them. The garlic prawns with dried chilli and garlic oil entree was delicious. Loved how it was served on a toasted sourdough bread and topped with a generous amount of herbs. The saucy linguine was fresh and homely. It was sautéed with prawns, crisp chorizo sausage, chilli, tomato and basil. There was a generous amount of prawns and chorizo, but it would have been nicer if there were a little more linguine. The pepperoni pizza had salami, fior de latte cheese, red onions, roma tomatoes, basil, black olives, anchovy and chilli. We enjoyed our meal with a Hotel Du Cap (The Cuban Wing) Cocktail, which was a blueberry mojito with Captain Morgan's spiced rum, blueberries, mint, lime and soda.
