#55 | TERMINAL 21 BANGKOK

My partner is your typical kind of guy whose not particularly interested in going to shopping malls. He however, really enjoyed this one. In this travel-themed shopping complex, each floor takes you to a different city around the world; pick up some outfits in Paris before accessorising in Istanbul. This mall houses some well-known international brands, but the majority of them are boutique stores.

Once you've shopped enough, head up to San Francisco on Level 5 and grab a bite at the Pier 21 food court. There's so much to choose from, and they are all pretty inexpensive. To purchase food, go to one of the kiosks there to buy a token/food card. There is a minimum top up (about 50-100 baht from memory), but whatever you don't spend, you can bring the card back, and the balance will be returned. There are no fee or charges for the card. Once you get your card, order from whichever store you like and they'll swipe your card for the payment. There are also some restaurants there if you don't feel like dining at the food court.

We love visiting supermarkets, especially ones overseas. There is a really great supermarket called Gourmet Market on the Lower Ground floor of Terminal 21, selling both fresh and packaged goods. Really awesome place to pick up some snacks and food souvenirs for the friends and family back home, or for yourself.

BANGKOK, THAILAND

Terminal 21 is a unique shopping complex on Sukhumvit Rd with 9 levels of shopping, entertainment and food. The building is connected to BTS Asok via the Skywalk, so it's pretty easy and convenient to get here.
