#93 | GLACIER HIKE AT FOX GLACIER

FOX GLACIER, NEW ZEALAND

We got up very early one morning in Queenstown and drove to Fox Glacier for an afternoon guided glacier hike. Getting up was definitely hard, but the views made it absolutely worthwhile. Queenstown is just so breathtakingly beautiful and picturesque. We made many stops along the way for pictures and almost risked our booking. After about 4 hours on the road, we finally made it. We grabbed a bite to eat and some coffee at Hobnail Cafe so that we're energised and a little warmer for our walk. The walk itself wasn't too difficult, but the wind, slight rain, and unfamiliar terrain (on a glacier) did make it challenging at times. Although this is me stating the obvious, but it was cold up there, and that also added to the difficulty. It was still a fun walk, and a great first experience!
