I was treated to a very wonderful and delicious dinner at Tetsuya's for my birthday. I was truly spoilt this year! Dinner at BLACK on the actual day, the Sydney Harbour bridge climb over the weekend and finally, dinner at the famous Tetsuya's restaurant. The restaurant is literally a house with a small Japanese-style garden located in the CBD. As we walked past the tall iron gates, a well-dressed man came to greet us and let us in. You won't really know what the menu will be like until the dish is placed in front of you. A very different dining experience to what I'm use to, but it was fun in it's own way. Our waitstaff was highly knowledgeable about the food and very attentive throughout the night. My favourite from the degustation had to be the tuna and ocean trout. They were so fresh, and so tasty! Dinner took about 3 hours to complete, and at the end of the night, we were given a personalised copy of the menu to take home. Dinner here was enjoyable and definitely a place to consider for those special occasions.
