Isn't this the cutest looking cookie you'e ever seen? I am GROOT! We were at Free Comic Book Day yesterday and stumbled upon them at Black Star Pastry in the Kinokuniya bookstore...and of course, we had to try it. So it's a chocolate shortbread with matcha sponge in a rich chocolate mousse covered with chocolate soil. The cookie itself wasn't really anything too special, but the mousse and chocolate soil combination was yum. We also enjoyed our day out, which started at Kings Comic where my partner and I picked out a birthday present for him; he chose a green lantern model and a comic book. I had bought a gift voucher from the store in advance for him to use, otherwise, he wouldn't have chosen a thing! I also like doing it this way so that he can actually enjoy the shop on Free Comic Book Day. We then went for a quick visit to Kinokuniya but didn't get anything besides the little sweet treat from the bakery inside it. Proud of us for having good self control, kind of.
