#99 | PHOTO DIARY: NEW YORK, NEW YORK

NEW YORK, USA

Last September, we spent a month travelling to various parts of America. It was our first time visiting, and we were super excited; especially for New York. Even before arriving, we already knew we were going to love it here. Loud, fast, and so ALIVE, New York had it all. We would walk for ages each day. I remember feeling so small beneath those large, towering skyscrapers that soar into the sky. I've never seen so many buildings this big before. I was in awe and absolutely mesmerised. We were here for 5 days, and feel like we've really only just scratched the surface. We stayed at an airbnb in Upper Manhattan, near Central Park and only a few minutes walk to the closest subway, which was our main form of transportation doing our stay. Definitely get the 7-day metro pass if you're there for more than a few days. The pass practically paid for itself after our first day! Although New York is a very walkable city, each block contains a fair bit of distance, so we loved being able to just hop on the nearest subway to get to our next point of interest whenever we started feeling a little tired. The food was incredible, and so bad for us haha, but we made it a mission to try as much as we could. This place is a foodie's heaven, and diets don't exist on holidays right? New York was a blast! Can't wait to come back to eat more, and see more, and explore more. Thank you NYC, we think you're just amazing.
