#107 | TIMES SQUARE MADNESS

NEW YORK, USA

There's no place else that screams "New York!", the way Times Square does with their giant billboards, dancing neon lights, and constant flow of people. We love it and hate it here at the same time. There's a lot of excitement and buzz that we enjoy being part of, and love that it's such a lively place, but it's also always so crowded; to the point where you can't help but bump into other people as you're walking around. I wouldn't think Times Square is a common hang out spot for locals, but it's definitely enjoyed by visitors all around the world. There's a few souvenir and clothing shops around, and a gigantic M&M's and Hershey's chocolate store. There's also a TKTS booth here for discounted Broadway and off-Broadway tickets to plays and musicals. We tried getting a discounted ticket from here, but arrived too late, and the line was super long. Watching a musical in New York was a must-do for us, so we sat by the red steps in Father Duffy Square, tapped onto the free wifi that was available, and bought ourselves tickets to Wicked for the same night. We paid retail prices for them, but there weren't any discounts offered for Wicked anyway, so we didn't feel too bad about it. Times Square is big, bright and unforgettable. For any first time visitors to New York, I would definitely recommend at least one visit, because honestly, can you even claim to have been to New York without coming to Times Square?
