Scrambled Eggs and Avocado
A-SIGH Bowl

The countdown to 2018 begins! People have camped out at certain vantage points around the city as of yesterday to catch the fireworks, which is kind of crazy, but also really cool. It's for a fact that Sydney has one of the most spectacular new years fireworks display in the world, so its worth every effort to get the best seat in the house. I'll also be catching the show, but i'll be in the comfort of my own home, in front of the telly haha. Here is also the last blog for 2017! And what better way to end it than with one about food.

I recently brunched at Espresso Warriors, 2 times over 2 days. Once with mum, and the other time with the boy, so I got the chance to try out a fair few things. We had the Golden Eggs Bene which was panko crumbed poached eggs on a toasted brioche with sautéed spinach, chorizo and hollandaise, and a simple scrambled eggs with avocado on toast. We also had the Amazonian acai blended with coconut water and banana, and topped with chia seeds, coconut flakes, almond and fruits, as well as the Portuguese baked eggs in a paprika and capsicum tomato sauce with chorizo mince, cherry tomatoes, Spanish onions, cheese crisps and jalapeños. The food here is pretty good, and they have a number of locations around Sydney's west. The only downside was that it takes a while for the food to come out (and it wasn't because it was super packed). On both occasions in two different locations, the wait was noticeable. Other than that, it's a nice place to catch up with friends and have a meal.
