Summer Breeze
Matcha Sundae
The boy's colleagues made mention to this new matcha dessert place in Burwood, so he took me here over the weekend to try it. Now this visit was a big deal since he doesn't even like matcha, so the trek out was really just for me (even though I'm not a raving fan of it either). It was quiet in the early afternoon on a Saturday when we first walked in, but the place quickly filled up. We had a fruity ice tea that we think was strawberry flavoured (Summer Breeze came with no description) and a Matcha Sundae to share. The boy really liked the tea as it wasn't too sweet, but I think he's enjoyment may also have had something to do with it being a very hot day, and him being extra thirsty. The Matcha Sundae came with some red bean, sesame chiffon cake, green tea jelly and dango, all over a bed of cornflakes and served above of a bowl of dry ice. The effect was pretty neat. The spoons that came with the dessert was golden in colour and was in the shape of flowers, which was super cute. We quite enjoyed our little treat here, and think matcha fans would love it.
