#140 | TRAVEL DIARY: SAN FRANCISCO

SAN FRANCISCO, USA

San Fran is such a pretty place. We weren't here for very long - 2.5 days to be exact - but we really enjoyed it. On our first full day, we rented bikes and rode across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito. Let me tell you, it wasn't as easy or as pleasant as I thought it would be. It was sooo cold on the bridge, and super windy. Wearing shorts and a light jacket was not enough. Also unfortunate for us was the amount of fog around at that time, which covered the bridge from all great photo spots. At Sausalito we grabbed a quick bite and an ice cream from Lapperts' to share, before taking the ferry back to the city. The remainder of the day was spent at Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39. We started the next day at Alcatraz, which was a very interesting and highly educational experience. We then headed over to check out and walk the famous Lombard Street, before hanging out at Union Square for the rest of the day. San Fran was a lot of fun, and was a great place to end our US trip.
