Matcha Hot Cakes
Our main reason for visiting Le Monde was to try their very popular Matcha Hot Cakes. Of course, we grabbed some other things while we were here. For drinks we had the Kick Start juice with orange, carrot, apple, beetroot and ginger, and the Detox juice with kale, celery, apple, cucumber, lime and coconut water. For something savoury, we had an avocado and tomato on toast with cashew and basil pesto and a poached egg. Nice and simple and very clean. The pesto was yum! Now time for the sweet stuff. The matcha hot cakes came with mascarpone cream, fresh fruits, toasted grains and a coconut espresso syrup on the side. The pancakes were soft and fluffy and the matcha flavour wasn't too intense which was good. The fruits and toasted grains were also a nice addition, giving the dish more taste and texture. Not a bad place to check out if you're in the area.
