Ricotta Hotcakes
The Middle Eastern
Fries
I was first introduced to this place when we were at a friend's house for the morning ceremony of their wedding. After the ceremony concluded, the girls suggested we have a meal nearby. Now, there was some food at the wedding ceremony, but didn't eat much. I remember enjoying the food at 6Points Cafe, so I recently came back with the boy. Because of it's location, 6 Points Cafe is really one for the locals. It's not the easiest place to get to (if you wanted to take public transport), nor is there much to do in the immediate area. So unless you're in the area for a reason, or drive pass it by chance, you'd most likely never stumble upon this place. I'm glad I did, because the food here is pretty good. We had the ricotta hotcakes with macerated berries, maple syrup and ice cream. It also came with bacon, but I asked them to leave it out - i'm not much of a pancakes and bacon girl. We also had the middle eastern feed which was eggs your way (ours was scrambled), with spicy marinated chickpeas, sujuk, cherry tomatoes, haloumi, and tortilla bread with zaatar and labne. We really enjoyed the food. The pancakes were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the centre. The middle eastern breakfast had such great flavours and texture. Lately, we've been getting a side of fries with all our meals (no matter the time of the day), and the ones here were like your bag of frozen McCain shoestring fries from the supermarket. Not really complaining since it was cooked pretty good and was nicely seasoned.
