#174 | PHOTO DIARY: PRAGUE

PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC

Prague, you are just so, so, so beautiful. These photos really don't do you justice. We loved our visit, but we did have a bit of a rocky start - with our airbnb once again. So, we were on our way to Prague from Munich. Our bus had wifi, so we were communicating with our host about our arrival. There was a slight delay, and we arrived at the place about half an hour later than we anticipated. After waiting around for a while, there was no sign of our host. Now, we didn't have internet readily available (and silly me will NEVER travel without a connection again), so I had stayed waiting at the apartment, while the boy went across the road to Starbucks to leech off their free wifi (you were a lifesaver Starbucks!). After sending a few messages and waiting for about 2 hours, we gave up and went to the nearest hotel to grab a room for the night. By this time, we were both tired and pretty upset. After checking into the hotel, I went online to contact the host again. This time, we got a response and they came to the apartment immediately. Seriously! If only we heard from them 2 minutes earlier, we wouldn't have paid for a night at the hotel. That one night was almost the cost of our entire 3 night stay at our airbnb. So what had happened was, there was another couple waiting in the same spot at that time, and they took them up instead. The mix up was possible because there were other apartments in the same building that were let us as airbnb rentals. The boy was so mad that he was in no mood to do anything for the rest of night. So that then made me even more upset, and we ended up having an argument between ourselves - which lasted for 1.5 days! Ugghh, worst start to our trip, but we fortunately got over it before our visit ended, and we got to enjoy this beautiful city. Prepare for lots of walking, because if you're anything like us, you'll get lost haha. There were lots of little alleyways and side streets and if you're not paying attention, you might get onto the wrong path. But honestly, we didn't mind it too much when it happened because all the streets were just so beautiful. It was like having a side adventure. I can't say it enough, but Prague is just such a gorgeous place, and we had a really nice time here.
