We love pies, especially ones from speciality pie shops like The Pie Tin at Newtown. They bake theirs fresh everyday, and have a good variety of both sweet and savoury options so you can have a pie for lunch and then a pie for dessert! While we were at The Pie Tin, we grabbed a few to share. We had the steak and peppercorn pie, which had chunky cuts of steak in a delicious peppercorn gravy. We love our pies with lots of gravy, and this place does it just the way we like it. They have many different savoury pie options, but the sweet pies had an even greater menu! It was really hard to choose, but we ended up going with a banoffee pie with house-made caramel and topped with sweetened cream, bananas and walnuts, and the TimTam pie that is a Belgium chocolate soft-centered brownie with Tim Tam cream and chopped Tim Tams. The sweet pies were super indulgent and delicious! We really enjoyed our meal at The Pie Tin.
