#184 | EDINBURGH TRAVEL DIARY

EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND

Edinburgh is so wonderfully beautiful. The boy has Scottish heritage, so Edinburgh was one place he looked forward to visiting most on our first Europe trip. Our Airbnb is located in the Old Town not far from the Royal Mile Walk, so getting around was super easy. We pretty much walked everywhere. After visiting the Castle on one of the days, we went to a weaving mill nearby and bought a kilt and tartan scarf. Kilt was for him and the scarf was for myself. After days of enjoying Scottish food which were on the warm, hearty and as such, heavier side, we got up bright and early one morning to do the climb to Arthur's Seat. Goodness, was it challenging! But once we made it to the top, the views made it all worth it. While we were here, we made Edinburgh our base to do some day trips. We had one to Lochness and another to Loch Lomond. We'd definitely make a return visit to Scotland, but next time, we want to see more of the highlands and highland cows! Perhaps get our own car and travel at our own pace.
