#194 | MUFFIN MAN TEA SHOP

LONDON, ENGLAND

Devon Cream Tea Set
Traditional Tea Set

I love scones, I really do. You may think it's an old folks thing, but don't underestimate our wonderful oldies, they know a thing or two about a good treat. When in London, having afternoon tea was definitely on my list of things to do, and we got our fix at the Muffin Man Tea Shop in Kensington. We had 2 different tea sets. One was the Devon Cream set that came with two toasted scones with jam and Devon cream, and a pot of tea. The scones were delicious! They were moist on the inside and nice and crumbly on the outside. The cream and jam that came with it were also really good. The other set we got was the Traditional Tea and this one had cucumber and tomato sandwiches, a choice of cake, and a pot of tea. There were a number of cake options on the menu like chocolate fudge, lemon cake and cheesecake just to name a few, but we chose the passion carrot cake that came highly recommended. This cake was yum! I still enjoyed the scones more, but we made no mistake in ordering this cake. The sandwiches are simply what you would expect, nothing much to note about it, but we wanted to have something savoury with our treats, so it did the job well.
