#201 | BRUNCH AT WILD SAGE

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

Chilli Scramble
French Toast
Vegemite Toast

Wild Sage is a gorgeous cafe at Barangaroo. We came for brunch one weekend and didn't expect it to be as busy as it was. We had the Chilli Scramble which was fermented chilli, roasted broccoli, crispy kale, bacon, mixed grains and scrambled eggs on sourdough. The name was a little deceiving as we thought the chilli would be mixed in with the scramble, but it was actually seperate to the egg. We must have skimmed through the description on the menu a little too quickly to have missed this. Wanting something sweet, we had the French Toast which was brioche covered in crunchy cornflakes with a mixed berry compote, vanilla whipped mascarpone, maple syrup and crushed pistachios. Lastly, we also got a Vegemite toast with a side of bacon and a poached egg. Everything here was quite tasty. My favourite was the French toast. It had a great combination of both crunchy and soft textures, and the berries and mascarpone went really well with it.
