#215 | MUSSELS AT LE CHOU DE BRUXELLES

BRUSSELS, BELIGUM

Duo of Croquette
Moules

The first thing we did after arriving in Brussels, is look for mussels. And isn't that such a perfect  rhyme? We found a place called Le Chou de Bruxelles, and they had really great reviews. It was a little far from us, but we decided to go on a walking adventure anyway, and it was well worth it! We had a duo of croquettes to start. One was shrimp and the other was cheese. Whilst it was tasty and a fun appetiser, the highlight of our meal was definitely the moules (or mussels) that came next. One pot each, but of course we shared with each other. We had the mussels baccara which was made of vegetables, tomatoes, onion, garlic and basil. We also had the vin blanc, which was vegetables and white wine. The broth was so, so tasty and the mussels were so plump! The mussels came with a side of chips, and they too were good. We really enjoyed our meal. It was one of the best we had in Brussels!
