Poffertjes
Cheeseburger
We had lunch at De Carrousel Pannenkoeken or Pancake House just for the novelty of dining in an old-fashioned carrousel. It was also very close to the Heineken Experience, which was where we were headed to next. De Carrousel is famous for their Dutch pancakes, in particular, their poffertjes, which are mini pancakes covered in powered sugar. It was just as you would expect, fluffy and sweet bite sized pancakes. Tasty, and covered in so much sugar that I had to dust a little off before eating. I knew about the sugar coating, so it wasn't actually a surprise or a dislike. It was also easy to remove, so no biggie at all. The boyfriend loved it just the way it was haha. We also wanted something savoury to balance our meal, so we grabbed a cheeseburger which came with fries and a salad. Don't have much to say about the burger, but it wasn't bad, and it does the job for a quick lunch.
