#231 | HOME THAI SYDNEY

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

Spicy Thai Sausages
Chicken Satay
Red Curry
Stir Fry Spicy Chicken Mince

Sydney has so many great Thai restaurants, but one of my favourite has got to be Home Thai, and I'm sure many Sydney-siders agree with me because there is always a line of people waiting to get in during dinner time. We eat here often whenever we want Thai food, and the tough thing with every visit is whether we try something new, because they've got a pretty extensive menu, or do we have our tried and tested favourites. It's a really hard decision! Here are some things we had the last time we dined here. For starters, we had the sad oua or Thai sausages made with pork, chilli and lime leaf that's deep fried and served with some raw vegetables, fresh chilli and peanuts on the side, as well as the chicken satay. The sausages were quite spicy. I'm not usually able to have more than 3 bites, but fortunately, the Boy can handle spice and really enjoys it, so he's more than happy to eat most of it. We don't normally get chicken satay just because there are so many other things to try, but it's always great when we do have it. Nice chargrilled flavours and the peanut sauce is to die for. For mains, we had the red curry with fish, pineapple, lychee and Thai basil. Red curry is one that's more on the sweet side, but it's still got lots of flavours and spice. We also had the stir fry spicy chicken mince or chicken larb, which is something we always order whenever we have Thai food. It's minced chicken with lots of herbs and spices including shallots, coriander, mint and chilli powder. We also always get it proper spicy because that's how the Boy likes it. We had our mains with steamed rice. You really can't go wrong with anything at Home Thai, so the next time you want Thai food, give this place a visit, and bring your friends so you can try everything!
