#247 | BUILDING A HOME - HOUSE UPDATE #7

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

All the scaffolding has come off and the internal electrical, vacuum, alarm system and air conditioning has been installed about 2 weeks ago now. We hired our own private inspector to complete a pre-lining inspection for us, and these are some of the photos that came in the inspection report. The issues found were all fairly minor. Our Site Supervisor agreed with all the findings and within a few days of receiving the report, he's either already had some of them rectified, or he's made plans to have them rectified in future. For example, there's no point fixing the damaged bricks at this stage when there is still plenty more activity and tradespeople on site, putting them at risk of being damaged again. Today, from my weekly call with our Site Supervisor, the gyprock has now been installed and the stairs will be worked on this week. He'll try and squeeze in the waterproofing and get a start on installing the kitchen and vanities next week. The floor tiles have also been delivered, and he's aiming to get them in before the Christmas break. He anticipates that from the point of gyprock, the house will be ready within 12 weeks, subject to any delays. Lots of activities happening right now. We're so pleased at how this is all tracking.
