#25 | FESTIVAL OF THE WINDS

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

The Festival of the Winds is an annual kite flying event at Bondi Beach. Now that we're in spring, this event was perfect for us to expose those legs and get a little sun. The plan was to get there, have some brunch, and then chill at the beach. Things however, went oh-so not according to plan. We got to Bondi Junction and waited for a bus. It's a 15 minute drive to the beach, and buses come quite frequently. We unfortunately had to wait 2 hours, and once we hopped on, it took 30 minutes to get there. There was just so many people and so much traffic with everyone trying to get to the same place.

Starving by the time we got there, we did a quick lap around the beach to look at all the colourful kites, and then went to grab our first meal for the day at 4pm in the afternoon. Disappointed that we didn't get to spend as much time at the beach as I had hopped for, but the festival itself was still quite enjoyable.
