#84 | 2017 CHINESE NEW YEAR IN SYDNEY

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

It's a hot day in Sydney with temperatures soaring to 44 degrees. I've got the fan on, an ice tea and i'm sitting in front of the computer, looking at the photos we took from a much more pleasant day. Last week, after work, we took a walk around the city to enjoy the Lunar New Year festivities. First off, something to fill the stomaches! We went to the Westpac Lunar Lantern Hub at Martin Place and had a box of peking duck fries from Bao Stop, a Messina Gelato cookie sandwich made with a peanut cookie, coconut sorbet and kaya sauce and also a Pimm's cocktail at Taylor's pop-up bar. We then went to check out the lunar lantern display that was scattered around Circular Quay. We had a really nice night out that included a decent amount of walking (it's been a long time since we last exercised!). Here's hoping it'll be awhile before we have such a hot day in Sydney again!
