#86 | 2017 VALENTINE'S DAY

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

Love is in the air! Valentine's Day this year was simple and sweet. After finishing work, we headed straight home to cook ourselves a nice dinner. The boy made Malaysian beef rendang with roti, and despite it being the first time he's ever made this dish, it tasted amazing! I was in charge of dessert, and because Valentine's Day fell on a Tuesday, I wanted to do something quick and easy. So, chocolate dipped strawberries it was! It was also my first go at making these, but it was really simple. All you got to do is melt some baking chocolate, coat the strawberries, let it rest on baking paper for a few minutes before then decorating them with white chocolate (this step is optional). Once that's all done, set them in the fridge for about 30 minutes, and they'll be ready to eat. I have to say, those white chocolate markings look kind of funny, but fortunately the chocolate dipped strawberries tasted great! After dinner, we snuggled up on the couch and watched Married at First Sight while we enjoyed our dessert. I also received a box full of goodies from the boy. Lots of chocolate and a rose that's actually made from soap!
