#88 | FRATELLI FRESH, BRIDGE ST

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

Calzone
Lasagna al Forno
Quattro Formaggi
Gnocchi
Torta Banoffee

Errrmmm, YUM! Fratelli is our favourite go-to place for pizza. They've got a few restaurants around Sydney, but our usual is the one on Bridge St. We've tried almost every type of pizza on their menu and honestly, they are all great! Pictured above is the Quattro Formaggi and a tomato and basil calzone. Along with a pizza, we usually also either have a pasta or another main to share. On one of our visit, we had the Lasagna al Forno with bufala and basil, which tasted deliciously homemade, and on another occasion, our waitress recommended the gnocchi with pancetta, peas, goats cheese and spinach. It was a bit of a risky item to order because I'm not a huge fan of goats cheese. I find the flavour too distinct and strong, but it wasn't too bad in this dish. The gnocchi was also pillowy soft, so we'd definitely order this again. Now, when there is room for dessert (and even when we're feeling super full, we usually force ourselves to have it anyway), we get the amazing Torta Banoffee. It's hard to try out any other desserts on their menu because I just can't get over the idea of not having the banoffee when we're here! It's terrible, but this dessert is just so amazing! It's made with buttery crushed biscuits and layered with caramel, fresh sliced banana, whipped fresh cream and shaved chocolate. Too good to pass!
