After a long day travelling to and from Neuschwanstein Castle, we came back to Munich and had dinner at Augustiner Keller. We shared the Mix Grill which had suckling pig, grilled sausages, ham hock and a piece of roast duck with sauerkraut, potato dumpling and seasonal vegetables. We also had a plate of Kasespatzel which is Swabian-style cheese noodles topped with crisp-fried onions and served with side of mixed salad. The Kasespatzel was not a favourite of ours on this trip. It was a little bland tasting. We finished our meal with an apple strudel with vanilla custard and whipped cream. So yum! We just love Bavarian food and left Augustiner Keller completely satisfied! We also love the atmosphere when it comes to German beer halls. It's always so lively and festive-feeling every time we're in one.
