#179 | A MEAT FEAST AT WHIRLY BIRD

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

Porchetta
Animal Chips
Beef Short Rib
Rotisserie Chicken

We were at the Star one weekend to catch an afternoon session of the Book of Mormon. We've seen the play before, but thought we'd go again, and this time, take my partner's brother along with us because he hasn't seen it yet. He absolutely loved it, and could not stop humming the songs after the show; which is exactly what we expected haha. Not far from the Star is a gastro-pub called Whirly Bird, and we came here afterwards for a late lunch/early dinner. Between the 3 of us we shared the 100g pork belly that's rolled and slowed cooked, half a rotisserie peri peri chicken, the 500g beef short rib (which only comes in one serving sizing) in a chipotle, garlic and lemon marinade with chimmi churri and a bowl of chicken salted chips with a side of aioli. Everything we had was really delicious. The meats had great flavour, were tender, juicy and just falls off the bone. To make things even better, we had a 50% off deal with TheFork. The food at Whirly Bird was sensational and we'd definitely come back here again, even without a discount.
