After a long day trip out of Edinburgh, we came back and it was cold, dark and rainy. Hungry and not wanting to go anywhere too far, we decided to dine at the Five Guys near our Airbnb. It was our first time having food from here, and when we chose our burgers, we didn't realise that we had to/got to choose all the other toppings ourselves. So things like lettuce, tomato, onions, mushroom and sauces had to be selected, and we weren't prepared for that haha. We both panicked and just picked the basics without really knowing what all the options were. The Boy said afterwards that he would have done so much better with his order had he known haha. Our burgers were super tasty though. It was moist and juicy, and we love how the bun was just a simple plain one and not the fancy kind like brioche. Brioche buns just make the entire meal THAT much greasier. Like we need more of that for burgers! We got some complimentary peanuts and also some fries to share - Cajun style. What we didn't try, and we definitely regretted it, was the milkshake. They have a variety of flavours to choose from and you add bacon bits to it too.
