PARIS, FRANCE
In all honesty, Paris was very different to what I imagined. In my mind, Paris was charming and romantic, and I was totally prepared to fall in love. Although still charming, it was unfortunately also very dirty and smelly. Tourist attractions like the Eiffel tower were also full of people walking around trying to sell you key chains and other trinkets; which really took away the romance and instead made the visit a little commercial. But I guess this is just the norm now, for places with such a high amount of tourists. Despite this, Paris was still great to visit. We enjoyed walking amongst the beautiful monuments and even the residential areas with their gorgeous apartments; with either a gelato or baguette in hand. The pastries are to die for, and we couldn't go a day without at least having one croissant. I'd love to come back one day and do more of France. Outside of Paris may be where the romance is hidden.
