New Shanghai is a Chinese restaurant with a number of locations in Sydney. We've eaten at this restaurant a number of times, mainly at the one in Ashfield, but since they've opened up another one in Sydney CBD, we've started to visit this one a lot more for its convenience. There are a few things we'd always get. Pan fried pork buns, sautéed green beans and xiao long baos, which are delicate and very delicious steamed pork dumplings, are our usual orders. We've also tried a few other things on their menu including the pork and chives dumplings, the hot and sour soup and the prawn wontons in chilli oil. The food at New Shanghai is all pretty good. There hasn't been anything we didn't enjoy, but of course, we do have our favourites that we go back for time and time again. The Westfield restaurant is in a great location. Perfect for workers nearby to come for lunch, or to swing by for dinner.
