Charcoal Grilled Marinated Chicken
Deep-Fried Marinated Javanese Style Chicken
Stir Fry Morning Glory
Nasi Goreng
Charcoal Grilled Marinated Satay
Our team decided to go out for a meal after work one evening. One of them said they know a great local Indonesian restaurant at Kingsford, so we all hopped on the bus and made our way there. I haven't had much Indonesian food, so everything we ordered was shared. As you can see from the pictures, we got lots of chicken haha. A girl in our group doesn't enjoy many other kinds of meats, and plus, there were lots of chicken options on the menu, so that's what we went with. We had the charcoal grilled chicken and deep-fried Javanese style chicken. The deep fried chicken didn't have a batter coating, which was what I had expected (no thanks to KFC haha), so it was a pleasant surprise went it came out. Both were tasty. We also had the satay chicken, which was served in a peanut and sweet soy sauce, and topped with fried onions. Who doesn't love a satay? The one here was great because it came with lots of sauce. We didn't just eat chicken. We also had the Nasi Goreng which is stir fried rice with egg, chicken, shallots and topped with a fried egg, and also a plate of the stir fry morning glory with garlic, bleachers (shrimp paste), onion and chilli. This was a very delicious meal. Ayam Goreng 99 is a great local joint serving delicious Indonesian food.
